Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is just an altered state of awareness and that we have all experienced this state many times before. For example; when you're watching your TV, and you find yourself 'staring into space', when you have been driving and realise that you cannot remember the last few miles of your journey, becoming so absorbed in a book/hobby that you lost all track of time, etc. Also, we all pass through this altered state just before we fall asleep and just before we awake. These, and I am sure you can think of many more, are examples of an altered state of awareness.
Hypnosis is not 'mind control'; it is the skill of communication and language by the therapist, and the intelligence, imagination and co-operation of the willing client.
The use of hypnosis is a drug free process of quietening down that part of your mind that constantly talks to you. Once this is achieved direct access to the subconscious is available, but rest assured, you are still very much, and in most cases, more aware of what is being said. Hypnosis can be induced in many different ways but the most common method in use by most therapists is by guided imagery of calmness and peace, combined with the use of visualisation that produces a profound state of relaxation and concentration.
Holistic Hypnotherapy
The client considering this therapy should exhaust all avenues of conventional medicine first. The subconscious mind knows what is needed for the body to be healed; it just needs guiding to the right area of the body. This enormously powerful therapy is used to treat many persistent conditions still defying conventional medicine and has fantastic potential for millions of people. It is a wholly natural healing method, merely speeding up or triggering the body's own healing process. Certainly, if all else has failed, the suffering client who tries it loses nothing. Only a general indication of the possibilities can be illustrated and no guarantees are ever given, but the success rate is surprisingly high.
